  • Will my bin still be collected on the same day?
    Yes, your bin collection days and other waste services will continue to operate as normal.
  • Who do I contact to report a missed/damaged/stolen bin?
    Report missed, damaged or stolen bins by calling 9707 9000.
  • Where do I report illegal dumping?
    You are encouraged to report these offences by calling the Regional Illegal Dumping Squad (RID) on 131 555.
  • Can I still request a Household Clean Up? And who do I contact?
    Yes, you can still request Household Clean-ups by calling 9707 9000.
  • Will my rates go up?
    The NSW Government has announced rates will not increase, above annual inflation (CPI - which is around 2%), for the next four years.
  • Can I pay my rates at either the Campsie or Bankstown Customer Service Centres?
    Yes, residents of Canterbury and Bankstown can pay their rates at either the Campsie Customer Service Centre or Bankstown Customer Service Centre.
  • Lodge a complaint?
    Residents of Canterbury and Bankstown can lodge a complaint at either the Campsie Customer Service Centre or Bankstown Customer Service Centre.
  • Will I lose my pensioner rebate?
    No, you retain your pensioner rebate.
  • Where can I lodge my DA?
    Residents of Canterbury and Bankstown can now lodge a DA at either the Campsie Customer Service Centre or the Bankstown Customer Service Centre.

  • Will there be any changes to Libraries services?

    Earlwood Library is undergoing a renovation and will be closed from Friday 13 May. The library will re-open its doors, fresh-faced, on Monday 30 May.
    Campsie Library is also preparing for major refurbishments and will be closed from Wednesday 1 June.
    All other libraries will continue to operate as normal.
  • Can I use my Bankstown membership at a Canterbury Aquatics and Leisure Centre?
    Not at present, however, Council is working to enable this to occur as soon as possible.
  • Is the Learn to Swim Program, or any other Bankstown Leisure and Aquatics Centre Programs, still running?
    Yes, the Learn to Swim Program and other Leisure and Aquatics Centre Programs will continue to run as normal.
  • What will happen to children's services?
    Children’s services of the former City of Canterbury are operating as usual.
