Bankstown City Council’s Roadshow is once again on the move with its next stop scheduled for Chullora Market Place on Saturday 19 May from 10:00-12:00pm.
The community engagement initiative, launched late last year by Mayor Khal Asfour, aims to give Bankstown’s residents an opportunity to receive advice and assistance from Council staff and Councillors, as well as meet the Mayor and have their say.
“The Roadshow is about taking Council to the community by choosing convenient, central locations across the City where residents can receive information and help regarding Council issues,” said the Mayor of Bankstown Clr Khal Asfour.
“It also provides our local residents with an informal atmosphere for them to connect with their local Councillors and to share any concerns, thoughts or suggestions they may have.
“Another important focus of the Roadshows is raising awareness of the many programs, services and activities Council have on offer for the benefit of the Bankstown community,” Mayor Asfour said.
Mayor Asfour added that he hoped more residents would take advantage of the convenience offered by his presence on Facebook and Twitter (search under Mayor of Bankstown).
“I continue to urge residents to feel free to contact me at anytime via my Facebook or Twitter profile or by calling (02) 9707 9523. I am always keen to help and eager to listen to what residents have to say,” Mayor Asfour concluded.
